Lieke van der Heide (The Netherlands, 1983) is a photographer based in Tenerife, where she settled permanently in 2025 after a three-year journey around the world aboard her sailboat Emma.

She graduated from the Photo Academy in Amsterdam in 2022, after which she embarked on a nomadic life at sea with her family. Her photography project documenting this adventure was published in Volkskrant Magazine in 2023.

Lieke’s work is not about capturing facts but about seizing fleeting moments, emotions, and atmospheres. With an intuitive and poetic eye, she translates personal perceptions into images that invite the viewer to experience rather than merely observe.
